We're glad to announce that the Andaman Islands are now part of our regular destination lineup, with direct packages departing from Chennai and Kolkata.

Why We Added Andaman

It's one of the most requested domestic destinations we haven't historically packaged in-house, particularly for honeymooners and small families looking for a beach destination that doesn't require a passport. Radhanagar Beach on Havelock Island regularly ranks among Asia's best beaches, and the snorkelling at Elephant Beach is genuinely world-class.

Getting to Port Blair

Port Blair is well connected by direct flights from Chennai and Kolkata, with the flight itself taking a little over two hours — making the Andamans one of the more accessible island destinations for South Indian travellers despite feeling worlds away once you land. From Port Blair, Havelock Island (officially Swaraj Dweep) is reached by a scenic ferry crossing of around 2-3 hours.

Best Time to Visit

The Andamans are at their best from October to May, with calm seas, clear underwater visibility for snorkelling, and pleasant tropical temperatures throughout. The monsoon months (June to September) bring rougher ferry crossings and reduced visibility for water activities, so we generally steer travellers toward the drier months for the smoothest experience.

Havelock & Neil Island Highlights

Radhanagar Beach on Havelock is the headline attraction, with soft white sand and calm, shallow water that's genuinely one of the best swimming beaches we've sent travellers to anywhere. Elephant Beach adds snorkelling and, for the more adventurous, sea walking and scuba diving with visibility that rivals far more expensive dive destinations. Neil Island offers a quieter, slower day trip — Bharatpur and Laxmanpur beaches are excellent for sunset, with far fewer crowds than Havelock.

Our standard 5-night itinerary covers Port Blair, the Cellular Jail Sound & Light Show, a Havelock Island stay with Radhanagar Beach access, Elephant Beach water activities, and a Neil Island day trip — with return flights, beach resort stays, and all transfers included.

A Sample 5-Night Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Port Blair, visit Corbyn's Cove Beach, evening Cellular Jail Sound & Light Show. Day 2: Ferry to Havelock, check into your beach resort, evening at leisure. Day 3: Radhanagar Beach and Elephant Beach water activities. Day 4: Day trip to Neil Island, back to Havelock by evening. Day 5: Ferry back to Port Blair, local sightseeing, departure. The pacing leaves room to add scuba certification days or extend your Havelock stay if you'd rather slow things down.

Packing for the Islands

Light, breathable clothing, reef-safe sunscreen, a light rain jacket even outside monsoon, and water shoes for the rockier stretches near Elephant Beach are worth packing specifically for Andaman. Cash is still preferred at smaller vendors on Havelock and Neil Island, so carry enough alongside your cards.

Honeymooners tend to gravitate toward Havelock's quieter resorts and private beach dinners, families appreciate the shallow, calm waters at Radhanagar and Corbyn's Cove for younger children, and first-time divers find Elephant Beach a genuinely gentle introduction to the sport with visibility that rivals far pricier destinations.

Add-On Experiences

Beyond the standard itinerary, we can slot in a PADI scuba certification course over 3-4 days, a glass-bottom boat ride at North Bay Island, or a sunset cruise from Port Blair. These work well as add-ons for travellers with a little extra time rather than replacements for the core itinerary.

Do I need any special permit to visit Andaman? Indian citizens don't need a permit for Port Blair, Havelock, or Neil Island; foreign nationals require a Restricted Area Permit, which we can help arrange. Is the Andamans suitable for non-swimmers? Yes — Radhanagar and Corbyn's Cove both have shallow, calm sections well suited to non-swimmers, with life jackets available for water activities.
